BSc (Wits) MBBCh (Wits) PhD

Please note that Paul is only available on Tuesdays.

Together with Sharoni, I started the practice in 2005. I did my MBBCh at Wits and completed my Ph.D. in Transpersonal Psychology at the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology in Palo Alto, California. Included in my practice of general medicine, I have a special interest in Transpersonal Psychology and Mindfulness as it applies to health and well-being. I have also developed an expertise in treating HHT in the primary care setting. In my spare time I enjoy my family, photography and singing.

Dr. Sharon Cohen

BSc (Wits) MBBCh (Wits)

I graduated with an honours degree in psychology at Wits University in 1992 and then went on to study medicine at Wits, from which I graduated in 1999.

Since 2002 I have been in private general practice in Johannesburg and at the Village Medical Centre since 2005. I enjoy the fact that general practice often melds the disciplines of psychology and medicine. My interests include women’s wellness and chronic health problems such as hypertension and asthma, but at the same time I enjoy the variety of clinical problems that one encounters in the general practice context.

When not with patients, I enjoy choral singing, tinkling on the piano keys and art-making.

I am a general practitioner at the Village Medical center, experienced in general medicine, paediatrics and aesthetic medicine.

I enjoy working with families and individuals of all ages, but especially children and babies. GP practice affords me the opportunity to have a long term care-based relationship with my patients, which I find rewarding and interesting.

I am a mother of  2 young children.
